Carrow Street Pediatrics in Orchard Park, NY has been in Primary Care Pediatrics for over 35+ years!

We are a team of board-certified Pediatricians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants who treat children from birth to 25 years of age. Our mission is to offer the highest quality medical care possible to all children and adolescents in the Buffalo, NY area. To do that, we are focused on providing physician-directed care that supports the physical as well as emotional health of our patients and their families.

Although we treat and care for minor injuries and other serious health conditions day to day, we strive to inform our families on how to be proactive and maintain a well child. Physicians at Carrow Street Pediatrics are board-certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. We have put together an administrative staff that can help our families in all aspects of healthcare, like helping with understanding insurance, obtaining referrals or authorizations, completing forms, requesting records, or just for support and encouragement. We encourage our families to utilize our staff & team in supporting them in any way they can!

Our Physicans:

Theresa M. Wegman, MD, FAAP

Dr. Wegman completed her undergraduate work at Cornell University, College of Human Ecology. After graduating Summa Cum Laude, Dr. Wegman went on to study medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. She completed her residency in Pediatrics and served as Chief Resident at the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Wegman is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

She resides in Kenmore with her husband and five children. In her free time, she enjoys running and scrapbooking.


Tara L. Reimer, MD, FAAP

Dr. Reimer completed her undergraduate education at The State University of New York at Buffalo where she helped the women’s varsity cross country team win their conference championship. She also competed on the varsity indoor and outdoor track teams. Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University Honor’s Program, Dr. Reimer went on to medical school at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo where she also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Reimer is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

She continues to run and enjoys many other outdoor sports. She currently lives in Marilla with her husband and 3 sons.


Joseph T. Kita, MD, FAAP

Dr. Kita completed his undergraduate degree at St. Bonaventure University. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University’s Honors Program, he attended the State University of New York at Buffalo to complete a degree in medicine. There he served as President of the local chapter of the American Medical Student Association and also sat on the medical school’s admissions committee.

He went on to complete a Pediatric residency at Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong in Rochester, New York. During his residency, Dr. Kita received a grant to develop the Healthy Connections program in coordination with the local Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. The program helps to foster healthy bodies, hearts, and minds while further strengthening the existing mentorships between Bigs and their Littles. Dr. Kita is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Kita was the recipient of the 2014 Dr. Richard Judelsohn WNY Immunization Champion Award, recognizing his achievements as a strong advocate for pediatric and adolescent immunizations. He and his wife live in Orchard Park, with their two sons, and daughter. In their free time, they enjoy playing soccer and golf, skiing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.


Matthew G. Guerinot, DO, FAAP

Dr. Guerinot is originally from Orchard Park, graduating from Orchard Park High School before going on to complete his undergraduate degree at University of Rochester. After graduating Magna Cum Laude, he went on to achieve his medical degree from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, near Portland, Maine. Following this, he completed his residency in Pediatrics at Golisano Children’s Hospital, part of University of Rochester Medical Center, in Rochester, NY. Dr. Guerinot is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Guerinot and his wife currently reside in Orchard Park. In his free time he enjoys golfing, collecting Legos and comic books, and rooting on the Bills, Sabres, and Red Sox.

Our Nurse Practioners

Christie Koedel, CPNP

Christie is a licensed New York State Pediatric Nurse Practitioner as well as being nationally certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Masters in Child Health. While a student, she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and also received the Anne W. Sengbush Award for leadership in school and community activities. She was also named 2003 Student Nurse Practitioner of the Year by her professors and fellow nurse practitioners in the community. Currently, she is an active board member of the Western New York Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

Christie’s specialty at the office is providing asthma education to patients and families. She is married and has a daughter and a son. She enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with her family.


Tonya Gruttaria, PNP

Tonya is a licensed New York State Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, receiving a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and a Masters in Child Health. While a student, she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She was also named 2002 Student Nurse of the Year by her professors and fellow nurse practitioners in the community. She is focused on promoting breastfeeding and providing education and support to new moms. She is currently working on becoming a Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

Tonya is married with two daughters. Outside the office, she enjoys running and spending time with her family and friends.


Heather O’Hara CPNP

Heather is a NYS licensed and nationally board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from NCCC as an RN before moving on further to Daemen College for a bachelor’s in nursing and then finally Stonybrook University for her Masters degree. Heather has worked in the neonatal intensive care unit at Oishei Children’s Hospital since 2012 first as a bedside RN and now as a provider. Her love of working with children has also led her to work in an urgent care setting as well as teaching for UB and ECC, promoting pediatric nursing to local nursing students. She has an interest in mental and behavioral health and making sure her patients are aware of and have access to appropriate resources. 

Heather is married and has 2 sons. In her free time she loves to read and travel.
